I will start this morning by saying a 'Big Thank You' to all who have downloaded a copy of my novel, Murder on Tyneside. I really do hope you all enjoy reading about Agnes Lockwood, who decides to take a rip down memory lane and starts helping the police with their inquiries - whether they want her help or not!

Murder on Tyneside

It is doing so well here in the UK. Therefore I simply wanted to mention it before it starts tailing off, which it will do. Things don't last forever. Well, wonderful things don't! Not in my experience, anyway!

I have started a sequel, but not sure where it is going at the moment. But then I never know where my stories are heading. I tend to make them up as I go along. Not always the best idea, but it works for me.

I have added a few more pictures of the Quayside where the novel is set. They were taken by me on my phone the last time I was down there, so they aren't perfect, but at least I am not breaching any copyright acts/laws, whatever it is they are called.

Sorry if they are a bit haphazard, but when I try to move them around they refuse. Bit like Agnes, really, so I won't argue.

Death on Tyneside

Agnes Lockwood returns to Tyneside after spending a few months abroad. On her first visit, she gained quite the reputation as an amateur sleuth, as she helped the police solve a murder.

Now, she is simply looking forward to meeting again with Alan Johnson, a DCI with the Newcastle police force. Having missed him while she was away, she is hoping their relationship will continue to blossom.

But on her first day back in the city, she gets caught up in another murder. This time, her intrusion into the police investigation pushes Alan Johnson’s patience to the very limit.

Recently widowed Agnes Lockwood is spending a few days on Tyneside in Northeast England, keen on catching up with her past. But after only a few days at the hotel, an expensive item of jewelry is stolen.

After more jewelry goes missing, Chief Inspector Alan Johnson is assigned to the case. During the investigation, Alan recognizes Agnes as a friend from schooldays and they rekindle their friendship – with Agnes bombarding him with questions about the case.

After having dinner together one evening, they find a body lying on the roadside. Fearing for her safety, Alan warns Agnes to stay away from the case: theft is one thing, but murder is something else.

But being an inquisitive woman, Agnes can’t resist getting involved... too involved.

Only Twelve Days

This heartwarming story is set in a time when computers and mobile phones were still in their infancy.

It's almost Christmas, one of the most wonderful times of the year. Nearly everyone is eagerly looking forward to spending the festive season with their loved ones. But what about those who are facing Christmas alone?

Bill and Sally are two such people. Both are shy and lonely; left behind when the rest of the country was caught up in the changes of the swinging sixties. Will they avoid the holiday season as they usually do, and spend it alone? Or this year, just for a change, will Christmas catch up with them?

Though this story is set during the run up to Christmas, it is a tender love story to be enjoyed at any time of the year.
