Stopping by!

I just thought I had better stop by and let you all know that I am still around. You must have thought that I had gone very quiet over the last week or so. But quite honestly, I haven't any news to pass on to you.

On Tuesday I went to the dentist and had two fillings, but at the end of the day, who wants to hear about that? I hate going to the dentist. Even though the guy is a very nice man and is always cheerful it is somewhere I would rather not be.

Sad, when you really think about it. Like I said, my dentist is a really nice man, yet many of the people who make an appointment to see him, would rather be somewhere else. How many people would even think of taking on a job, where their clients/patients would rather stay well away from them. Putting it like that, it makes me feel I should stop by now and again just to say hello.

I did meet up with a friend one afternoon and we had a really good natter while trying to put the world to right. Of course a couple of G&Ts helped. Therefore you can imagine that by the end of the afternoon the world was a better place - or at least it would be if we were running it!

There is so much talk about the new President of the United States at the moment. It is amazing the number of people who are contacting me to sign petitions about this, that and the other, all relating to President Trump. But at the end of the day, what can I do about it? I am British, I live in Scotland, I couldn't vote one way or the other. Therefore, it really has nothing to do with me. Even if it did, I doubt anyone would listen.

Now to something much lighter than dentists and American politics.
Murder on Tyneside

Murder on Tyneside is still selling well - at least I think it is. The Amazon ratings are still quite good and at the moment.  There are also some 5 Star reviews, which is always a huge relief to any author.

If you haven't seen it yet, why not head over to Amazon now and take a look. It is cozy murder mystery about a woman who takes a trip down memory lane and get involved in a police investigation.  I like to think there is a little of something for everyone in the story.

Well, I think that is all for the moment. If I come up with something else then I will add it later.

Meanwhile, I do hope you all have a great day!

Cheers!! (Check out the label on the bottle)

Freebie Today!

Exciting News Today!

Divorcees.Biz

Divorcees.biz, a novel of fun and romance, is free to download this weekend.

Therefore, if you haven't already read about the four divorced ladies who suddenly decide to set up their own dating agency, then now is the time to download a copy. What could be better than to put your feet up over the weekend with this fun read.  Especially if it is going to be cold, snowy or anything thing else the weather will be throwing at us over the next few days.

Murder on Tyneside, my latest novel seems to be selling well at the moment. It has 3 reviews on Amazon USA already - all 5 stars. So you can image how excited I am about that.

We were thinking about going out for coffee this morning, but the snow put us off. It isn't deep snow or anything like it. But what with it being Friday 13th, I thought it best not to take the chance. I am not superstitious about everything. If I had to go to work, I would probably have gone off this morning without a second thought. But when there is no need to rush out, why do it? The coffee shop will be there tomorrow, the date will have changed and the snow might have gone! That's my logic in life these days.

I wonder what some deep thinking philosopher would make of it? On second thoughts, perhaps it's best not to go down that road. Why stir up trouble when there is none?

I do hope you all have a lovely weekend. But do take care when you are out and about.

Cheers!!

The Start of a Whole New Year

It's hard to believe that we are already one week into the new year. Have you made any New Year resolutions? More to the point, do you think you are going to be able to keep them?

The only one I made was that I am going to try to lose weight. (A resolution i tend to make every year) But only after all the goodies were eaten... and drunk!  So with a but of luck, I will start the diet on Monday. (Says me sitting here at the keyboard with a large glass of red wine)

There was no point in me making any further resolutions as I probably wouldn't be able to keep them! There was a time when I took these sort of things more seriously, but I think that time is well past its sell-by date. 😏

So what have you all been up to since 2017 took over? Are you back at work yet after the Christmas and New Year Holidays? When I was working, we only ever had the two days off at Christmas and one at New Year, but I guess there are now firms that close down for the whole two weeks.

We haven't done anything much at all over the last week. I think we are becoming a real stay-at-home pair. But it has been too cold to venture out, especially if you don't have to. Which is fine, but it means I don't have anything to tell you. Which makes me wonder why I write a blog in the first place.

Of course my having nothing wonderful going on in my life might make some of you realise what busy lives you all lead in comparison. If that is the case, then my job has been done well.

I think I should close now while I am ahead.

Murder on Tyneside

But I can't go without telling you that my novel, Murder on Tyneside has been selling quite well and has received its very first review - and it is a 5 star review. How exciting is that!!

I would like to thank everyone who has downloaded a copy and I do hope you enjoy the read.

I would also like to thank Lorna Read, who edited the manuscript. Not an easy task, especially the way I write!

Just had another thought. A friend of mine has started a new group on Facebook - Harry, Sasha & Sheba's house of hope and canine healthcare.   If you are animal lovers and think you would like to be part of this group, then follow the link and head over there to take a look.

Best wishes to you all, and if you have a moment to spare, please add a reply.

Cheers!!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you all

I hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating the New Year. No doubt many will be having a long lie in this morning.

We didn't go out anywhere. There were things we could have done/ places we could have gone to, but neither of us really felt like going out. The weather didn't help either. It was wet and windy here in the Scottish Borders. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the comfort of our own home and thought back to all the wonderful parties we used to throw in the old days. It really was fun and we enjoyed it immensely.

I would like to wish you all a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2017. Take care of yourselves and the people you love.

It wouldn't be me if I didn't add the latest news regarding my books. I am absolutely delighted to tell you that Murder on Tyneside is doing well on Amazon.  A big thank you to all who have downloaded a copy. I really do hope you enjoy it.

Also The Trojan Project is on Special Offer from today until Sat 7th Jan. Only 99c/99p  to download.

Have a great day!!
