We have been away for a few days. We went to Nidd Hall near Harrogate in Yorkshire; it is a hotel for adults only and is very nice. We relaxed most of the time, but did enjoy everything that was going on around us. We loved the mini plays or Vignettes, as they call them. These were played out in the Drawing Room and lasted about ten or fifteen minutes. We also enjoyed the afternoon play, Double Death, which lasted about an hour in the Hotel Theatre. I understand that the play was written by Simon Williams of Upstairs, Downstairs fame. The evening were great, too. Lots of dancing, singing and even a comedian. As you can tell we had a great time.
Now I am back at home and things don't seem to have stopped since we walked through the door. Washing, and ironing played a large part yesterday. However, this morning we went to the Borders Book Festival, as the Borders Writers Forum, of which I am a member, were putting on an hour of entertainment to advertise our new Anthology called Border Voices on Border Ruins. This afternoon, we have been invited to a drop in to celebrate someones birthday and tomorrow my husband has an appointment with the dentist. I must also finish the short story to send to a magazine and I really will have to get back to my novel, Divorcees.com.
No doubt a few other things will crop up before the week is out. But it is certainly better that wondering what to do next.
Hope you are enjoying the weekend.
Cheers!
Sounds like a lovely break, Eileen - glad you enjoyed yourself. I like the title of your novel!

Thank you, Teresa. Still trying to decide whether the title should read Divorcees.com or Divorcees dot Com. Any thoughts?
ReplyDeleteI prefer Divorcees.com.

Thank you, Teresa. That was my first thought when I started the novel, but since then I have had second thoughts. I should have realised that you should go with your first instinct!
