Hello again

I hope all is well with you, wherever you are.

We have been having some strange weather here in the Scottish Borders. Some days, it was almost as though it couldn't make up its mind what to do - first there would be a heavy rain shower with strong gales, then the rain would turn to snow. About twenty minutes later, to sun would appear and the winds would drop - until the next - only a short while later.

However, from what we have seen on the TV and read in the newspapers, things have been much worse further south. .People's homes have been flooded as rivers have overflowed on to roads and fields. How dreadful it must be to have everything you had worked for ruined in such a sort time. We can only hope that these storms will end very soon

On a brighter note, spring is just around the corner. Snowdrops and daffodils are appearing in the gardens around us as a reminder of the better days to come. I just hope it doesn't take too long 😅 I can't wait...

Happy New Year! -- UPDATE x 2

So disappointed that no one entered the little competition I had set up. I would have been happy to gift someone a copy of one of my cozy murder mysteries.But at the end of the day, it is all up to you... Meanwhile, Competition has closed.Cheers!

First of all I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year. I do hope that 2020 turns out to be a great year for us all.

I had hoped to post a new blog long before now, but unfortunately, I never seemed to be able to get around to it. Not that I have had such a busy life -  quite the opposite.

Anyway, I wonder whether I can make it up to you by offering you the chance to win an ebook version of one of the books above. Agnes Lockwood Mysteries The problem is, I can only gift an ebook to people here in the UK - Amazon's rules, not mine. I'm not sure how many people in the UK read my blog, but if there aren't many, then the chances of winning a copy could be very good.

What is Going on in Your World?

Anything going on where you are? I have to say all is very quiet in my neck of the woods at the moment.

However, having said that, there was cause for a little excitement earlier in the week when I received a certificate for Death on Tyneside. The novel was among the Top Ten Finalists in the Author Academy Awards Competition which was held in the USA.

I really never thought I would get that far, so you can imagine how delighted I was when I received it.

Actually it has worked out rather well, as Death on Tyneside is only 99c/99p to download for the next few days. Therefore, if you are planning to read it at some point, then now would be a good time to download a copy.

Now I suppose we will all be preparing for Christmas? Or perhaps it is still a little too early? However, it appears that the shops are telling us that we should be Christmas shopping right now. Everywhere you look, there are Christmas cards and decorations for sale, not to mention the ideas for gifts, which are displayed in shop windows. But maybe we should start looking now as it is amazing how quickly the weeks pass by. As far as I am concerned, this whole year has flown by.

Okay, I am going to come straight to the point of this blog post, not least because I just heard a roll of thunder and I am wondering whether being on the computer if lightening begins, would be a good thing.
