A Quiet Week!

Hi there  Just thought I would stop by and let you know that I am still around.

Things have been very quiet here over the last week or so. Therefore, I'm afraid I haven't anything fantastic to tell you.

Not that I am complaining about how smooth everything has been running. Far from it. But I'm sure you will agree that it is nice to be knocked off your feet once in a while - as long as we are able to stand up again... you get my drift.

Anyway, as I said things have been a tiny bit boring. We haven't been anywhere, done anything or seen anyone. But you never know, things could change over the weekend - after all, I could win the lottery - though I'm sure that isn't going to happen.

My friend is doing great after falling over and breaking her hip. You will recall that happened in the car park after our trip to Newcastle. Now we are both looking forward to another trip to the wonderful city only this time, we will try not to break anything!

Yesterday I had a chap come to try to move some of the gravel on our drive to another part of the garden. I don't know how we have so much of the stuff. I can only imagine that we were the last call the day it was delivered so they dropped it all off to save going back to the depot. If you can imagine Brighton Beach, then you have a fair idea of what our drive looked like.

On the other hand, perhaps that's where it all came from! Maybe the council down there thought they had too much and have started dropping it off on various drives around the country. Though I have to say, they would have had to travel a few hundred miles to bring it all the way here. Sorry Brighton Council, only joking. If you are a regular follower of my blog, then you will be aware that I spout a great deal of rubbish.

Anyway, I have to say the chap did a good job and it looks a great deal better. Even the area of the garden where he dumped it and raked it smooth looks good.

My latest novel, Murder on Tyneside, is coming on - slowly. However, the fact that it is coming on at all has to be good. It has taken me quite a long time to get started on my writing again, so bear with me and I will let you know when I have finished writing and am sending it to my publisher. Then I shall expect you all to have your fingers crossed that he will like it enough to publish. The novel is set on the quayside in Newcastle-on-Tyne, so if any of you know the area, you will recognise the various places mentioned.

Divorcees.Biz

Meanwhile, I would like to promote my novel Divorcees.Biz this week. As from today it is only 99c or 99p to download. The offer lasts for one week, so if you are looking for a fun read then get yourself a copy and enjoy the story of four divorced ladies who suddenly decide to set up their own online dating agency with an office in London's Mayfair.

I am sure you will enjoy the antics the ladies get up to during the story.

If you would like yo pass on the link to any of your book loving friends, then I would be very grateful. It can be very difficult getting the word out there. And if anyone has read it, please let me know what you think.

I think that is all for the moment.

Have a great day, folks,

Cheers!!

Keeping in Touch and a Whole lot More!

I am sorry I haven't been around lately, but things haven't been going my way. Perhaps I should rephrase that and say Things haven't been going our way!

My husband has been in hospital again. I say again, as he does have many health issues. However, I am delighted to be able to say that after a week in our local General Hospital, he seems to have pulled around and has been discharged. Nevertheless, as you can imagine, it has been a worrying time for us both.

On a brighter note I have say we have been having some lovely weather lately. No doubt it will revert back to the norm very soon, but we are enjoying it while it lasts.

Everything else is much the same. The elections in Scotland have been and gone and I am sure the whole world will know the outcome by now. I do hope there can be some harmony for the next few years.

The next election will be one for the whole of the United Kingdom to take part. Whether we stay or leave the EU is a very important issue for our country and it must be taken seriously by us all.

I will vote to Leave. No one will change my mind on that. This is a good, strong country. Therefore I don't think we should be talked down to by unelected bureaucrats. However, that is not the only reason I will vote Leave. I cannot bring myself to vote to give our country away after all those brave men and women fought and died to keep it free only for later governments to give away. I know it will be difficult. However I do think that if we all pulled together, we could make this country great once again.

But that is just me and my opinion. I cannot, nor will I try to tell you where to place your cross on June 23rd. That is your decision.

Everyone has a vote and you must all think hard about what is going on and vote for what you truly believe is best for Great Britain. Because, despite everything, this is still a free Democratic country.

Okay, lecture over.

Now I am going to tell you that on Thursday 12th May, my novel -
The Trojan Project will be on a promotion. It will be reduced to 99c/99p for one week. If you haven'y read this conspiracy thriller already, then check it out on Thursday at this bargain price.

I hope you are having some great weather wherever you are.

Cheers!!
